OVERVIEW

Newby is a mixed use developer and undertakes a variety of projects, land promotion, asset management, development management and development in its own right.

Larger schemes are undertaken in a Joint Venture with one of Newby’s partners. Smaller schemes are undertaken with Newby’s own resources and senior debt. Newby is diverse and flexible in its approach, with the ability to identify, realise and add real value to schemes. Newby maximises each scheme’s potential throughout the management and development process creating exemplary projects each time.

NICHOLAS MOODY

Deal Origination & Funding

Nicholas Moody, a founding partner of Newby and has over twenty five years experience in the property industry, particularly in acquisitions and development finance.

Latterly Nicholas has been an Executive Director on the boards of several property companies, including being Managing Director of the principal subsidiary of a multi-national property development company with responsibility for over £1bn development programme.

SIMON HEPDEN

Development & Planning

Simon Hepden is a founding partner of Newby and has twenty years experience in Development, Project and Cost Management delivering and overseeing many complex high value schemes throughout the UK and in Europe.

Simon worked previously as an Executive with a large multi-disciplinary international consultancy. He was latterly Development Director for a leading high end mixed use developer, with over £1bn of development in the pipeline.

OLIVER BLACKSHAW

Sales & Marketing

Oliver Blackshaw, Sales and Marketing Manager, has experience in the residential property market. Dealing with residential sales, Oliver has worked with new builds, developments and family homes. Oliver is responsible for working with marketing companies and estate agents to create the marketing strategy, marketing material and closing the sales on all Newby’s developments.

FRAZER ROBERTS

Finance, Appraisal & Compliance

Frazer Roberts, Finance Manager, is a finance professional who gained experience training as an accountant with a private accounting practice.

Having worked with a variety of clients, preparing company accounts, Frazer is responsible for legal compliance, company secretarial matters and the operational function of the company.

CLOSE BROTHERS

An independent merchant banking group based in London, providing market making and corporate finance services. Newby have worked closely with Close Brothers on the successful development of 32 Devonshire Place and continue to build on the relationship whilst working alongside them in the development of Windsor Court.


THE MOORFIELD GROUP

Moorfield Group is a UK real estate and related private equity fund manager, with investments made through the Moorfield Real Estate Funds (MREFs). Newby acquired Velocity Village in Sheffield with Moorfield and have now successfully completed and sold the scheme.


TELEREAL TRILLIUM

Telereal Trillium is one of the UK’s largest property companies, owning and managing over 8,000 properties, valued in excess of £5.5bn. The Shareholders are leading real estate investors, the Pears family and management. Newby are working alongside Telereal Trillium to develop Castle Chambers into 25 contemporary city centre apartments.

EUROPA CAPITAL

Europa Capital is a real estate fund manager focused on European markets. Europa utilise a variety of strategies implemented through active asset management, change of use or refurbishment and development in all property classes across Europe. Newby are working with Europa Capital utilising a fund that acquired a 92 acre site in Brockworth and are anticipating acquiring further sites, achieving additional return via obtaining or revising planning permissions.
